Voters in Mato Grosso can settle disputes with the Electoral Court in a joint effort by the Regional Electoral Court (TRE) until this Wednesday (8). The collective effort began last Wednesday (1st) with services from 8am to 6pm.

According to the TRE, a survey released in April showed that 87% of voters in Cuiabá had already registered their biometric data and until then around 50 thousand registrations had been cancelled, the majority due to absence from the polls. The capital Cuiabá has 439 thousand voters, representing 17.4% of Mato Grosso’s total electorate.

Documents required to issue or regularize the voter registration card

  • Official identity document with photo or birth or marriage certificate
  • Proof of addresswhich must be in the name of the applicant, or the parents, or the applicant’s spouse (as long as they have the same surname)
  • If there is a debt with the Electoral Court, take the payment voucher
  • If the applicant is male, take the proof of discharge from military service (enlistment is mandatory from the age of 18, but young voters aged 16 and 17 can obtain the title and exercise their right to vote)
