The accused have been arrested since April 23, two days after the crime.

The crime was committed because of a debt the shooter had with the owner of the house, Erneci Lavall. According to the MPMT complaint, all elements collected confirm that the defendants carried out the execution due to a debt owed by Inês Gemilaki to Ernerci, relating to a rental contract. This is because the accused lived in a property owned by the victim, who filed a collection action against her.

MP stipulated a reparation amount to be paid in favor of family members. For the death of Pilson Pereira da Cruz, the amount to be paid is R$ 1 million, while for Rui Luiz Bogo’s family, the amount to be paid is R$ 700 thousand. “As Pilson Pereira was younger than Rui Luiz Bogo, it is assumed that he had a longer life ahead of him, hence the distinction in values between the two”, says the MP. For the two who were injured and survived the attack, the Public Ministry stipulated the payment of R$150,000 each.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office also requested the revocation of the arrest of Inês’ husband. Márcio Ferreira Gonçalves was indicted by the Civil Police on suspicion of participation in the crime, but was left out of the MP’s complaint. According to the agency, as demonstrated in the records, he was not present at the time of the execution, despite having provided support to those accused after the crimes committed.

The Mato Grosso Court will analyze the complaint and decide whether or not to accept the requests.

O UOL tries to contact the defense of the accused. The space remains open for demonstrations.
