The State Comptroller General’s Office (CGE) has registrations open until this Tuesday (07.05) for the 20th Anniversary Meeting of the State Ombudsman’s Office, scheduled for May 8th, to strategically discuss the role of the ombudsman’s office, highlighting the best innovation practices in the area, with the participation of renowned experts at national level.

The main purpose is to promote a significant reflection on the role played by this instrument of social control in public institutions, highlighting its contribution to strengthening democracy through citizen participation.

The event is aimed at ombudsmen and employees of the State Executive Branch Ombudsman Network, as well as representatives of other powers and administrative spheres, as well as ombudsmen in general.

Among the confirmed speakers are the general ombudsman of the Government of the Federal District, Cecília Fonseca, who will address the topic “Artificial Intelligence and Service Governance in the General Ombudsman’s Office”, and the superintendent of Administrative Mediation and Consumer Relations at the Agency National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel), André Ruelli, who will deal with the “Strategic Use of Ombudsman Information”.

In addition, there will be the participation of the president of the Brazilian Association of Ombudsmen/Ombudsman, Adriana Alvim, sharing about “Strategic Ombudsman, Guardian of Institutional Dialogue”, and the philosopher and CGE employee, Douglas Remonatto, speaking about “Ethics, Technology and Ombudsman ”.

The Ombudsman, Transparency and Social Control activities of the State Executive are coordinated by the State Comptroller General, through the Deputy Secretariat of Ombudsman-General and Transparency, and organized as a network. Currently, the network has 38 sectoral and specialized ombudsman offices, with the involvement of more than 80 civil servants.

The event will take place in the CGE auditorium, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with a lunch break.
