The arrival of Mother’s Day, which this year will be celebrated on May 12th (second Sunday of the month), has brought good expectations for entrepreneurs in the bar and restaurant sector in Pernambuco. A survey recently carried out by the Brazilian Association of Bars and Restaurants in Pernambuco (Abrasel-PE) revealed that the majority (71%) expect revenue to reach up to 20% in the period.

Also according to data collected by Abrasel Pernambuco, 88% of establishments intend to open on Mother’s Day. Among these, 90% expect to earn more in 2024 than on the same date last year. Entrepreneurs see the commemorative date as an important time to boost their businesses.

“Mother’s Day presents itself as a very important opportunity for bars and restaurants in Pernambuco, as indicated by the results of this survey. The expectation of a significant increase in revenue shows that businesspeople are confident in the sector’s potential for recovery and growth, even Even though we are still facing serious economic challenges, such as inflation, debts and losses, the feeling is that with support, public policies and creative strategies, focused on quality service, we can prosper during this period and beyond”, highlighted Tony Sousa, president of the company. Abrasel – PE.
