PRF participates in an educational action promoted by SESAP to launch Yellow May at Monsenhor Walfredo Gurgel Hospital in Natal/RN

The Federal Highway Police participated, on the morning of this Monday (06), at the Monsenhor Walfredo Gurgel Hospital, in Natal/RN, in an educational action to the launch of the Yellow May 2024 Movement. The event was promoted by the State Department of Public Health (Sesap), through the Vida no Trânsito Program (PVT/RN).

The integrated action, which included the participation of the Public Ministry, Military Police, State Department of Traffic, and the National Department of Transport Infrastructure and the municipality of Natal, aimed to raise awareness among patients and companions regarding the importance of safety and respect in traffic

According to data from SESAP, Walfredo Gurgel Hospital recorded, between February and April, 2,164 cases involving motorcyclists, and this year, the Yellow Maio Movement has as its theme “Peace in traffic begins with you”, with a focus on alerting the most vulnerable people, especially pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists, the importance of following safe behaviors for safer traffic for everyone.
