Court approves agreement between Union and RS to postpone unified competition

The Federal Court of the Federal District approved this Saturday (4) the agreement between the federal government and the state of Rio Grande do Sul that resulted in the postponement of the application of the tests of the Unified National Public Competition (CPNU), which would be held on Sunday (5 ). ebc.gif?id=1593483&o=node

The postponement was announced on Friday (3) by the federal government, after a conciliation was reached with the government of Rio Grande do Sul and the Federal Public Defender’s Office (DPU), which had opened proceedings to investigate the situation caused by the heavy rains hitting Rio. Grande do Sul throughout the week.

To date, the state of Rio Grande do Sul has recorded 57 deaths as a result of the storms, as well as 74 people injured in incidents linked to bad weather. Hundreds of roadblocks have left many communities isolated and there is a power outage in the capital, Porto Alegre.

Under the agreement signed with the Attorney General’s Office (AGU), the state of Rio Grande do Sul and the DPU refrain from taking administrative and judicial measures against the postponement of the competition, in exchange for the suspension of the tests by the federal government.

The CPNU is the competition with the largest number of candidates ever held in the country. Throughout Brazil, there will be 3,665 application sites and 75,730 rooms. In total, 2.144 million candidates registered in the selection process will compete for 6,640 vacancies offered by 21 federal public bodies. In Rio Grande do Sul, there are 86 thousand candidates registered to take the test in ten cities in Rio Grande do Sul.
