After fluctuations in the weather in recent days, expectations are being created for the first weekend of May: will we have rain or sun? Check the weather forecast for Saturday (4) and Sunday (5), with information from the Civil Defense of Santa Catarina.

According to Civil Defense, the rains should continue to be concentrated between the Center and the South of the State, where there are conditions for storms with lightning, gusts of wind and possible hail.
In other regions, we can expect a “dance” between sun and heat, with isolated showers of rain and thunderstorms from the afternoon onwards.
Weather in SC: what causes the phenomenon?
The phenomenon is the result of the displacement of the Paraguayan low pressure system towards the ocean, passing through the border of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.
Therefore, the risk is low to moderate for events related to falling branches and trees, in addition to possible damage to the electrical network.
Civil Defense issued an alert for the high risk of flooding and landslides on Friday afternoon (3), due to the rains of the previous days.
Formation of a new cold front

However, in Santa Catarina, we will have the presence of sun between clouds and conditions for isolated rain showers and thunderstorms in the south of the state.
The risk will be low for events related to forecast weather conditions.
What will the temperatures be like?
On Saturday, minimum temperatures should vary between 14°C and 20°C across the State, reaching up to 22°C in coastal areas. During the afternoon, highs vary between 22°C and 25°C from the far west to the south coast and can reach close to 30°C – Civil Defense/Disclosure/ND
On Sunday, the minimum temperatures vary between 16°C and 20°C in the plateaus and on the coast, staying between 19°C and 22°C.
