The Unified National Public Competition (CPNU), an innovative model for selecting public servants created by the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI), is in its final stretch. The tests will take place in a month, on May 5th, in 228 cities across the country.

In Bahia, the contest will be applied in 18 municipalities. Salvador is the city with the most applicants, with a total of 68,005 candidates out of a total of 162,702 applicants.

With 2.1 million registrants, the CPNU is already the competition with the largest number of candidates held in Brazil, surpassing the previous records of the Banco do Brasil competitions in 2021 and 2022, which registered, respectively, 1.6 and 1 .5 million subscribers.

Increase in the number of test locations

Due to the high number of registrations in the country’s capital, Brasília, the CPNU organizing committee took into account the candidates’ zip code of residence indicated at the time of registration and decided to expand the locations where the tests will be administered, adding eight new cities in Goiás, which are located around the Federal District. The tests will also be applied in the cities of Águas Lindas de Goiás, Cidade Oeste, Formosa, Luziânia, Novo Gama, Santo Antônio do Descoberto, Planaltina and Valparaíso de Goiás. The municipalities were added to the 220 that had already been defined as application sites , totaling 228.

Craft

The Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) sent letters to the governors and mayors of the municipalities where the tests will be administered. The document requests cooperation to guarantee the security and logistics necessary to hold the event. The correspondence, signed by the Minister of Management, Esther Dweck, highlights the importance of avoiding large events in the cities where the Unified National Public Competition (CPNU) will be held, on May 5, in order to facilitate the movement of candidates and ensure safety at test sites.

Furthermore, the Cesgranrio Foundation, the company applying for the competition, in partnership with bodies such as the Public Security Secretariat of the Ministry of Justice and the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research, is in contact with state and municipal authorities to address logistical issues. and security.

Also to facilitate the logistics and security of the event, an application network was established connecting federal and state public administration bodies. There was even integration with the National Public Security Secretariat (Senasp/MJSP), Federal Police (PF), Federal Highway Police (PRF), Brazilian Intelligence Agency (Abin), National Force (FN) and Public Security Secretariats State.
