Bahia Farm Show 2024 moves service providers and the economy of western Bahia

dianDue to the consolidation of the latest editions of the fair, the expectation for the start of the Bahia Farm Show 2024, in June, is one of excitement among service providers who are beginning to close deals in advance. This movement, already expected throughout the year, contributes directly and indirectly to the economy of the host city, Luís Eduardo Magalhães, Barreiras, and the entire area that covers western Bahia. Companies in the areas of stand assembly and maintenance, landscaping, transportation, buffet food service, cleaning and visual communication are already working to meet demand.

The city’s hotel chain, for example, records a 100% occupancy rate. Hotel manager, Luana Corsi, says there are no more vacancies at the establishment where she works. “The hotel’s movement during the Bahia Farm Show period is exceptional, reaching 100% occupancy. We are already fully booked, we work at least a year in advance on reservations and customers tend to block the daily rates for next year even before the end of the fair”, she says, also highlighting temporary hiring to meet demands. extras during this period.

“The fair brings extra movement in all the services offered, we have more movement in the restaurant, in the laundry and in the event space. Consequently, we always need extra labor to meet the demand during this period. For 2024, we are already anticipating hiring to serve our customers even better and with more quality, training employees with sufficient time to offer increasingly excellent service”, reveals the manager.

The great demand for companies that offer services during the Bahia Farm Show period demonstrates the market’s optimism to see the best in technology. The executive transport sector is also an area that is seeing demand increase. Owner of a fleet for transporting people, Alcineli Lopes da Silva says that whoever plans to serve them wins.

“The flow of executive vehicles increases significantly before and during the fair. At the beginning of April, I closed three contracts. In another edition, it was necessary to hire fifteen more drivers and rent vehicles in Brasília to support the public, directors of major brands, financial directors, representatives of agribusiness groups and also the people who work at the fair. The Bahia Farm Show is a success in selling machines and generating indirect income. It adds financially to my sector in a positive way.”

With hotels filling up, the property rental market is also in high demand during the period, becoming an extra income opportunity for property owners. This is the case of radio host Roque Santos, who decided to diversify his investments by renting a furnished house during the agricultural event. “The city receives many visitors and hotels are full. It was in this situation that I saw the opportunity to rent my property and earn extra income. For 2024, expectations are the best possible, especially considering the organization of the fair and the potential of agriculture”.

For this edition, the Bahia Farm Show organization has already announced that the commercial area is 100% commercialized, and the purchasing and visiting public will be able to see a total of 420 companies that will represent more than a thousand brands with the most modern technologies on the market, the example of traditional resales of machines, agricultural implements, irrigation technologies, drones, software, airplanes and structures such as silos and warehouses. Products and services focused on the agricultural area will be displayed in a total area of ​​242 thousand square meters distributed in the external area of ​​the complex and in the three covered warehouses.

The Bahia Farm Show 2024 is organized by the Association of Farmers and Irrigators of Bahia (Aiba), with the support of the Bahia Association of Cotton Producers (Abapa), the Foundation for Support for Research and Development of Western Bahia (Fundação Bahia) and the Association of Dealers and Representatives of Agricultural Machinery, Equipment and Implements in Western Bahia (Assomiba).
