The concessionaire VLT Carioca informs that trains on line 1 (Santos Dumont x Terminal Gentileza) will have extended circulation hours to serve locals and tourists who will attend the performance of singer Madonna in Copacabana, South Zone of the city, next Saturday (4/ 5).

The special operation will be carried out from 6am on the 4th until 6am the following day, uninterruptedly, with 15-minute intervals. To connect with the subway, which gives direct access to the show location, passengers are recommended to get off at Carioca station.

From 11:30 pm, the service will be changed and the trains will make strategic stops at the Gamboa, Candelária, Carioca, Santos Dumont stops, at the Rodoviária station and at the Gentileza Terminal until 5 am on Sunday, in order to speed up the public’s journey home . At these points, the dealership’s service teams will be reinforced.

“We will circulate 24 hours a day to guarantee service and we have created a special service to serve the busiest stations, making it easier to return home after the show”, explained the executive manager of VLT Carioca Operations, Rodrigo Feitoza.

The VLT ticket costs R$4.30 and each passenger must have their own card for validation at the time of boarding. Cards from RioCard or Jaé operators are accepted, which can be purchased or loaded at stops and stations. It is recommended to enter credits for round trip in advance. In addition, it is also possible to pay with Riocard Mais or Jaé digital cards. It is important to remember that the consumption of food is not permitted inside VLT trains.
