Heat wave extends until Saturday and is expected to affect 45 municipalities in Mato Grosso :: Leiagora | Playagora

The Civil Defense of Mato Grosso warns that the heat wave that has hit the State since last weekend is expected to extend until next Saturday (4). The alert update was issued this Thursday (2), based on forecasts from the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet).

With the extended alert, the heat wave is classified as “great danger”, considering the forecast that temperatures will reach 5ºC above the average for the period for more than five consecutive days.

The alert is valid for the central-south, southeast and southwest regions of Mato Grosso, covering 45 municipalities (see at the end of the article).

During this period, it is recommended to avoid outdoor sports without adequate protection and exposure to the sun during peak hours, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. Furthermore, hydration is essential, by consuming light foods and drinking water every two hours, even if you are not thirsty.
