In the first three months of the year, the state of Tocantins recorded a positive balance of 4,651 formal vacancies, resulting in 35.2 thousand admissions and 30.5 thousand dismissals. In March alone, there were 977 new formal positions in the state. Data from the General Register of Employed and Unemployed People (Novo Caged) were released this Tuesday, April 30, by the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE).
In the state, the result was positive in all sectors evaluated. The highlight in Tocantins was Services, with a balance of 687 positions. Industry had a positive result of 183. Next come Construction (+97), Commerce (+8) and Agriculture (+2).
In the division by municipalities, the capital Palmas had the largest balance in March, with 347 new vacancies with a formal contract. Following the five municipalities with the highest balance are Araguaína (238), Lagoa da Confusao (164), Porto Nacional (81) and Gurupi (59).
In the state, the majority of new jobs were occupied by women (+508). People with complete secondary education were the main ones served (+759) with vacancies in Tocantins. Young people between 18 and 24 years old are also the group with the highest vacancy balance: +690.
