Questions such as why artists with a high number of plays do not guarantee sold-out events and what it takes to produce a successful show at the box office reflect new challenges and perspectives that have grown after the long period of shutdown caused by Covid 19.

“The costs of events have risen in a greater proportion than the revenue generated from ticket sales”, discusses the businessman, who points to other traditional sources of revenue, such as food and beverage sales, sponsorships, incentive laws to ensure sustainability. of the concert and party market.

The director of Abrape-ES describes a positive scenario that reflects good public management in the State and main municipalities, creating a good basis for the development of the private sector.

The resumption of major shows in the Metropolitan Region, the summer season in Guarapari, events in Praça do Papa, the Kléber Mendonça Stadium, the sambadrome and in the interior, such as the Festival de Alegre, contribute, according to the Abrape representative in the State, to status at national level that Espírito Santo once again occupies through events as a tourist product.

The institution’s director observes the trend of transition from a mass music market to a compartmentalization into small segments. “Today we have many niches, by age group, taste profile and within this there are artists with great reach on Tiktok, digital media, but which do not necessarily convert into good ticket sales”, analyzes Pablo Pacheco.

According to the entrepreneur’s assessment, the success of an event depends on many variables and highlights the importance of offering a complete experience to participants, from the proposal, environment, food options and complementary activities. “Today people want to experience something more, the event must be a spectacle, the artist is part of the spectacle”, says the director of Abrape-ES.

In the interview, Pablo Pacheco pointed to collaborations between artists, promoters and sponsors as a way to expand the audience reach and the performance of the events and tourism segment in the country’s economic activity. Check out the interview.
