Three people were arrested in the early hours of Thursday (1/5) on Park Way. The suspects allegedly stole 300 meters of transmission cable at the location. A fourth individual fled through the woods in the local region.
According to the Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF), officers received a report of an alleged theft on block 18 of Park Way. At the scene, they found two suspects. To try to mislead, they would have posed as homeless people.
With the duo’s lack of documents and no transmission cables nearby, the police decided to detain the two and began to sweep the area.
In a block near the scene, the police saw a black Corsa occupied by two men. The two fled on foot, but one of them was captured. The police called the Aviation Battalion and the Dog Police Battalion (BPCães), but were unsuccessful in locating the fourth suspect.
During the search, the police located a Hyundai and Tucson vehicle with stolen cables, resulting in 300 meters of transmission cable recovered.
The three detainees already had police records. The youngest, 22 years old, had 10 tickets, the 25-year-old with 9 tickets and the third, 30 years old, with 3 tickets. The trio was taken to the 21st Police Station (Taguatinga Sul) to register an incident.
