Athletico suffers defeat to Ypiranga-RS in the debut of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil

This Wednesday (1) Athletico visited the Ypiranga team, for the first leg of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil, in Erechim, starting at 6pm at the Colosso da Lagoa Stadium. Furacão came out with a 2-1 defeat against the home team, with the decisive goals being scored in second-half stoppage time, declaring Athletic’s defeat.

In the first half, Athletico tried to dominate the Ypiranga team right away to maintain control of the match, and in a way they were succeeding, but little by little the home team managed to come out and bother goalkeeper Bento in Athletico’s defensive sector. In the final stretch of the first stage, Furacão found their goal in a play by Zapelli and a completion by Agustín Canobbio in the 35th minute.

In the second half, Ypiranga returned determined to control the game in front of their fans.
