Teatro Amazonas receives diverse programming this week ‘Worker’

The Season of Artistic Corps continues until the end of May, parallel to the shows by local artists and bands that will be presented at Teatro Amazonas. With the promotion of the State Government and the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, this week, which includes the Labor Day holiday (1), the cultural program reserves music and dance attractions for the public.

On Wednesday and Thursday (1st and 2nd), always at 8pm, the Amazonas Philharmonic and the Amazonas Choir present the concert “Aberturas e Coros de Ópera”.

Conducted by Otávio Simões, the repertoire explores the richness and diversity of the world of opera.

Spectators will be taken on a journey through the history of opera, with a selection that spans the beginning of romanticism until the 20th century, including works from countries such as Italy, Germany, France, Brazil, among others. Dance occupies the hall of Teatro Amazonas, this Friday (3), with the presentation of “Os Catraieiros”, performed by the Corpo de Dança do Amazonas.

In a reduced format, the show draws a parallel between the gondoliers, an Italian symbol, and the catraieiros, who transported and crossed people and products under the streams of Manaus. Entry is free and starts at 4pm, lasting 20 minutes. Free classification.

On Saturday (4), at 8pm, the theater opens the curtains for the launch of the EP Amazonizar, by the band DeBubuia, which features a collection of original songs that are already successful in the region.

The show brings back the rhythm of the edgeado and the carimbó and features the participation of the group Carimbó de Balbina. Free entry and free classification.

On Sunday (5), at 11am, the show “The Little Seasons for Babies” will provide a special moment for early childhood and families, starring the Amazonas Chamber Orchestra and the musicians from the Amazonas Filarmônica, Bárbara Soares and Débora Batista, also directors of the Centro Suzuki Amazonas.

Under the baton of Marcelo de Jesus, “As Estações”, by Antonio Vivaldi, suggests a playful and interactive experience on stage, between musicians and the audience. Ticket sales at the Teatro Amazonas box office and at www.shopingressos.com.br.

To end the week, on Sunday (5), classical music invades the Teatro Amazonas with the “Season Opening Concert of the Amazon Symphony Orchestra”. Scheduled to start at 7pm, the concert features Victor Amazonas as soloist and features works by Alexandr Borodin and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in its repertoire. The artistic direction and conducting is by Rubens Claudio de Souza. Free entry and free classification.
