Rio – A Madonna cover caught the attention and amused the fans who were in Copacabana, in the South Zone, this Tuesday morning (30). Drag queen Luiza Gasparelly, who has been dressing up and performing as the singer since 1988, went to the Copacabana Palace, where the artist is staying, took a photo with the public and walked along the beach.
The drag queen, who has already attended three of the singer’s shows and became a fan after starting to work with her songs.
“I started doing Madonna by pure chance, from a song that appeared, Material Girl, and I did it. Then she broke out doing this Marilyn song, that’s when she gave her career that boom, and then I started following exactly, until the Blond Ambition World Tour came. I copied the whole show, I did all the numbers, with ballet, with everything, and that was it”, he stated.
Luiza became known as a Madonna cover girl when she still lived in São Paulo. Today, most of her career is dedicated to the Queen of Pop, although she still does montages of other singers.
“I think the most important thing of all is to never let her name disappear, because she will always be the pop queen”, added Luiza.
