This month, minister Alexandre de Moraes, from Federal Supreme Court (STF)validated 48 new non-criminal prosecution agreements (ANPP) offered by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR).
Since the beginning of the ANPP offer, 172 prisoners from January 8th have had their treatment approved. In this negotiation, the person detained at the Army Headquarters in Brasília has to admit crimes in order to get rid of the restrictive measures.
What do the agreements approved by Alexandre de Moraes say
According to the PGR’s proposal, detainees must admit that they committed criminal association (article 288 of the Penal Code) and incitement to crime (article 286, sole paragraph, of the Penal Code).
According to the ANPP, the defendants further undertake to:
- Provide services to the community or public entities;
- Not commit similar crimes or be prosecuted for other crimes or misdemeanors;
- Do not participate in open social networks until full compliance with the conditions established in the agreement;
- Participate in a course on “Democracy, Rule of Law and Coup d’état”;
- Pay a fine that can reach R$10,000.
