On the afternoon of this Tuesday (30), monitoring cameras and videos recorded by residents captured the moment when a landslide hit RS-122, in São Vendelino, Rio Grande do Sul. The occurrence in Serra Gaúcha was caused by intense rains that have been hitting the State since the weekend. Watch all three videos.
According to Rádio Onda Digital, the landslide hit several vehicles that were traveling along the highway, which connects São Vendelino to Farroupilha, however there is still no information on injuries.
Appeal from the governor of RS
On the afternoon of this Tuesday (30), the governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite, made an appeal to President Lula through social media. According to him, the State needs immediate air support to help people in emergency situations. Read the post.
