Brazil has 150 medals in the history of Olympic Games. The Brazilian delegation has achieved at least one place on the podium in 21 different editions of the Olympics. Brazil’s last Olympic participation, in Tokyo, yielded a record number of medals for the country: 21 wins.

The history of Brazilian medals began in Antwerp, in 1920. Afrânio da Costa he came second in the free pistol event (50m), on August 2nd. On the same day, Brazil won bronze in the team event in the military pistol (50) with Afrânio, Fernando Soledade, Guilherme Paraense, Dario Barbosa and Sebastião Wolf.

The record for gold medal wins was achieved twice. In both Tokyo 2020 and Rio 2016, Brazil reached the highest place on the podium seven times.

The silver medal record has been achieved three times. Tokyo, Rio and Sydney saw the country win the silver medal six times.

The Brazilians won the bronze record in Beijing 2008. They were, in total, 10 times in third place.
