Until April 29th, next Monday, motor vehicle owners can receive discounts on the advance payment of Motor Vehicle Property Tax (IPVA) with license plate numbers 75 to 95.

The discounts are valid for those who do not have traffic fines and are 15% of the tax value for those who have been without a fine for two years; 10% for those who did not receive fines last year and 5% discount in other situations.

There are three payment options for IPVA in Pará: advance in a single installment, with a discount; installments in up to three installments before maturity, without discount; or full payment on the date of annual licensing at the Department of Traffic (Detran). After the licensing date, payment will be made with additional fines and interest.

To check the tax amount and issue the State Collection Document (DAE), the vehicle owner must access www.sefa.pa.gov.br.

Payment of the DAE is made through the authorized banking network (Banpará, Basa, Bradesco, Banco do Brasil, Santander, Itaú and CEF) and lottery outlets.

The IPVA rate is 2.5% for cars, trucks and recreational or sports waterways vehicles not intended for commercial activity; 1% for buses, minibuses, trucks, mechanical horses, motorcycles and similar. Vehicles over 15 years old are exempt. Vessels and aircraft must collect IPVA by June 30th.

For more information, visit the Sefa website at www.sefa.pa.gov.br; telephone service or by message on call center, 0800-725-5533, from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday; or speak via chat on the Treasury Department website.
