“There were isolated cases of being overweight, on the scales in Araranguá (SC), which will not become fines and will be duly annulled”, admitted Vitale. “It is important to say that all of these cases, there were six, continued their journeys without retention on the scale, as we found that they were donations.”

The fines against vehicles that carry donations received repercussions after a report published by SBT, this Tuesday, 7th. The article shows volunteers and the coordinator of the Civil Defense of Florianópolis, Samuel Vidal, being fined by ANTT at the Araranguá station.

On the same day, the regulatory agency even released a note stating that the fines were fake news.

“There is no request for an invoice or application of fines on vehicles that transport donations”, informed ANTT, on Tuesday. “The videos circulating on the internet that claim that ANTT withheld donation vehicles do not match the reality of the facts.”

Samuel Vidal also spoke to Oeste, this Wednesday, and denied ANTT’s statement. According to the Civil Defense coordinator, an inspector from the regulatory agency requested documentation that was not possible to present. As these are donations, there is no record of the origin of the goods.

  • Exemption from toll fees on federal highways; It is
  • Facilitation of the flow of road freight transport vehicles.
