Women use a rug to hide the theft of a watch display in a store in RN

Three women stole a watch display from a variety store in the city of Bom Jesus, in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte, in an unusual way. The suspects lifted a rug to hide the action, placed the complete display inside a trash basket, and then walked away normally.

The crime happened on Sunday (21), but the images went viral this Friday (26). The establishment’s security cameras captured the moment of the crime (see the video).

The action took place at 11:21 am, while the store was open and with customers moving around normally.

According to the store owner, the damage was approximately R$5 thousand. The robbery took place on a market day in the city, which, according to him, causes customer traffic to increase compared to other days of the week.

The video showed that the theft lasted less than 20 seconds and that each of the three suspects carried out an action. The first woman lifted the rug, while the other opened the waste basket so that a third could place the display inside.

The last step was to close the basket and leave the store. The trash was in a bag, which made it easier for the suspect to carry it.. The three fled together.
