The Civil Police of Amazonas (PC-AM), through the Specialized Police Station for Crimes against Women (DECCM) South/West, served, on Wednesday (24/04), a preventive arrest warrant for a man, 24, for failing to comply with a protective measure against his ex-partner, 32. The arrest took place in the Compensa neighborhood, west zone.
According to delegate Kelene Passos, head of the specialized unit, the man had already been caught in March of this year, for causing bodily harm and insulting the victim, when the protective measure was enacted.
“He was released at a custody hearing the following day, as long as he respected the terms signed to stay away from the victim. However, upon leaving the forum, he went looking for the woman and broke into her house, violating the court order,” he explained.
According to the delegate, the victim informed the court about the non-compliance, causing the judge to order his preventive detention.
The man will be held liable for non-compliance with a protective measure and will be at the disposal of the Court.
