Due to the high demand for the issuance of the new National Identity Card (CIN) in Greater Vitória, the number of appointments available will reach 1,081 places per day in May.

Places will be made available every Friday at 8 am, with appointments for the following week. This is the largest quantity ever offered since bookings began in July 2022.

Appointments for new vacancies can be made via the website agenda.es.gov.br, starting on May 3rd. The official criminal expert from the Scientific Police office (PCIES), Juliana Arósio Sales, says that the 1st copy of the new identity does not have fees issued.

“We are going to experimentally do this scheduling on Fridays, starting at 8 am. We have taken measures to increase the supply of vacancies because there is a great demand. The first issuance of the new identity is free, that is, there are no fees.”

Juliana Arósio Sales recommends, however, that only those who need to renew their document do so at this time.

“For those who have their identity in good condition, with an updated photo, there is no need to renew the document yet. The deadline for renewal is until 2032. Therefore, we ask that the issuance be made by those with the greatest need to update the document”.

In the digital version, it is possible to include other documents, such as a national driver’s license, voter registration card, military certificate and professional registration number, for example. To do this, simply bring all documents at the time of renewal.

Confectioner and entrepreneur Kellen Paula Siqueira, 38, believes that the integration of all documents into the new identity card will facilitate identification. She will apply for a place to issue the document in May.

“My current physical identity card is old and outdated. Because of this, I became interested in acquiring the new model, so that I can carry an updated document, thus being able to exercise all my rights as a citizen.”

Standard

The issuance of the new National Identity Card has a national standard and a single number, the Single Person Registry (CPF), for all units of the federation.

In addition to the integration of other documents, the new CIN includes a QR Code, which presents the option of easy and reliable checking of information by Public Security and public and private service units.

The new National Identity Card is also digital and is on the gov.br application.

– Vacancies

The offer of appointments for issuing the new National Identity Card (CNI) will reach 1,081 places per day, in May, for Greater Vitória. Vacancies will be made available every Friday at 8 am.

To schedule, simply access the website agenda.es.gov.br. From May 3rd, new vacancies will be made available.

According to Decree 10,977/2022, citizens have until 2032 to obtain the first copy of the document, which will be free for everyone.

– New Identity

One of the main novelties of the new model is the unification of the ID number with the CPF throughout the country. Previously, each state adopted its own numbering, which allowed the same citizen to have different identity numbers in different states.

With unification, regardless of the state in which the document is requested, the CPF number will be the ID number, thus reducing the possibility of fraud and inconsistencies in information.
