One of the suspects involved in the murder of a 42-year-old nurse in front of an emergency room in Balneário Barra do Sul, on the North Coast of Santa Catarina, was arrested in the act with weapons and drugs, on Tuesday (23), almost a month after the crime, the Civil Police reported.
The victim, identified as Abner Luiz Camelim, was shot dead in the parking lot of an Emergency Care Unit (UPA) in the city center, on March 29. According to delegate Georgia Bastos, the nurse was inside a car when he was hit.
The motivation for the crime, according to the Civil Police, is still being investigated.
The arrest occurred during the execution of two search and seizure warrants related to the crime. The man, according to the Civil Police, was arrested for possession of a weapon with a scratched number and drug trafficking.
He was sent to the São Francisco do Sul prison, in the same region, where he will remain at the disposal of the Judiciary.
During the action, according to the police, the following items were seized:
- Two cell phones
- 548 grams of marijuana-like substance
- 46 grams of apparently hallucinogenic substance
- A pistol
- Intact ammunition
- R$1020 in cash
