The annual list of Exame Magazinewhich chooses the 100 best restaurants in Brazil, was released this Thursday (25). This year, the third of the initiative, 38 establishments appeared for the first time, selected by a jury of 72 critics and influencers from different cities. Each person chose ten restaurants of their choice, in no order of importance, and Bahia continued to shine.

The Origem restaurant, by chefs Fabrício Lemos and Lisiane Arouca, in Caminho das Árvores, in Salvador, came in second place, ahead of Casa do Porco, from São Paulo, which came out on top in the first two editions of the list and came in 3rd this time. This year, the Bahian restaurant “lost” only to Lasai, by chef Rafa Costa e Silva, in Rio de Janeiro. Within the Top 10, another Bahian still appears, in 7th position: Manga, in Rio Vermelho, by chefs Dante and Kafe Bassi.

Among the 100 best, Bahia still draws attention with its Dona Mariquita, from chef Leila Carreiro’s heritage kitchen, in 33rd; O Ori, Origem’s younger “brother”, in 42nd; and the traditional Lovedin 68th.

On the jury, representing Bahia, were Felipe Almeida (@almeida1984), chef and influencer Lili Almeida (@cheflilialmeida), wine columnist for the Correio newspaper Paula Theotonio and journalists Ronaldo Jacobina and Tereza Carvalho (@proveieaprovei).
