Surfer Iankel Noronha, friend of Peter Scoobyfound this Wednesday (8) a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who was missing in Eldorado do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, after an emotional request.
“Yesterday, at 1:40 am, I received a desperate message from a mother worried about her friend’s son, who also has a special son. She told me that they had been missing, in a hostile area, for a week, leaving everyone apprehensive”, reports Iankel.
“I told her that today would be my first mission: to find them. Mission successfully accomplished, much success! Thank you very much @maico_verone who was 100% willing to help me find Isac’s house and do all the other rescues”, added the surfer. Watch here.
Rescues
Pedro Scooby and other giant wave surfers have been there since last Monday (6) in Eldorado do Sul, in Rio Grande do Sul (RS), to rescue flood victims.
According to Scooby, on Tuesday alone (7), a thousand people were rescued by him, surfers and other volunteers.
This Wednesday (8), The search had to be stopped early because of the rain. Hours later, Scooby showed that the jet-skis had holes and scratchesand received support to carry out the necessary maintenance so that they can go into the water safely this farm (9).
Balance of floods
On Wednesday night (8), Civil Defense updated the flood balance. According to the agency, the number of cities affected by the floods rose to 425, the number of homeless people to 67,428 and the number of displaced people to 163,786.
In total, 1,476,170 people were affected. The number of deaths remains the same, 100, but two deaths are still under investigation. On the other hand, the number of injured rose to 374 and the number of missing people rose to 130.
