Lawyer wanted for joining a criminal organization in MS is arrested with her partner on the coast of SP | Santos and Region

A 34-year-old lawyer from Mato Grosso do Sul, wanted on suspicion of join a criminal organization in the state, she was arrested in Itanhaém, on the coast of São Paulo. The arrests took place, around 7:30 am on Wednesday (24), in a residence located in Rua Emília Alves Muller, in the Tropical neighborhood, where the couple lived. According to the Itanhaém General Investigations Department (DIG), before moving, the woman was married and had a life in Campo Grande (MS).

According to the incident report, obtained by g1, a DIG team went to the property to execute a search and seizure warrant, issued against the woman on April 12 by the 1st Criminal Court of Campo Grande in relation to a criminal case in which she was being investigated. Furthermore, the police officers went to serve a preventive arrest warrant against her.

Under the bed, in the couple’s bedroom, the police found a plastic bag with the .380 caliber pistol with the number removed and two magazines with ammunition, as well as two other loose magazines. In addition to the weapon, four cell phones, two notebooks, a pendrive and documents were seized.

When asked about the pistol, the lawyer said she had acquired the instrument for her personal defense, as she had been receiving threats from those involved in the criminal case. She claimed that her partner did not know, but the police understood that they shared the item.

As determined by g1agents were only able to locate the lawyer because she filed a complaint for domestic violence against her ex-husband in January of this year.

The action that resulted in the arrests occurred in support of the Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime (Gaeco) of Mato Grosso do Sul and was monitored by the Prerogatives Commission of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).

The incident was registered as illegal possession of a firearm for restricted use (by both parties), execution of a search and seizure warrant and capture of a wanted person at the DIG of Itanhaém. The couple remained at the disposal of Justice.

The woman must be detained in the provisional women’s prison attached to the 2nd DP of São Vicente and then taken to the capital of São Paulo. There, she will await a manifestation from the Campo Grande district court. Her partner, Valdomiro Junior do Nascimento Souza, must remain in Itanhaém.

O g1 contacted the OAB and Cybelle’s lawyer for a statement about the arrest, but has not yet received a response.
