247 – “Jair Bolsonaro’s first-time allies are disappointed with the number of supporters present at the event called by the former president last Sunday, in Rio”, highlights journalist Bela Megale in her column in O Globo.

The calculation made by the research group “Political Debate Monitor”, from USP’s School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities (EACH), already indicated a “flopada”, current slang for classifying a failure: The demonstration in Copacabana gathered 32.7 thousand people, 18% of the public that was present in São Paulo, in February. Aerial images also indicated that previous demonstrations at the site had already brought together many more extremists.

CONTINUES AFTER AD

According to the journalist, the extremists who gathered this Sunday to comply with the STF are trying to find the reason for the “flop” and blame the strong sun, the Tiradentes holiday and the time of the demonstration, which was scheduled for 10 am.

“Aides expressed fear that the event would be empty, but Bolsonaro was confident about his ability to move crowds,” he adds.
