Women are the majority among pre-candidates for Mayor of Aracaju. With around six months left until the 2024 Elections, the names will still be confirmed during the period of electoral conventions, between July 20th and August 5th.

Check, in alphabetical order, the nine names that should enter the dispute.

Candisse Carvalho is a journalist by training. In 2023, she took on the special advisory role of the Ministry of Social Development, Assistance, Family and Combating Hunger. This is the first time that she has made her name available in the electoral dispute.

Danielle Garcia has a law degree from the Federal University of Sergipe and is a delegate. She was director of the Department for Combating Crimes against the Tax Order and Public Administration (Deotap/SE), coordinated the Technology Laboratory for Combating Money Laundering in Sergipe, was part of the team at the Department of Asset Recovery and International Legal Cooperation from the Ministry of Justice (DRCI/SNJ) and was an instructor in courses promoted by the National Secretariat of Public Security (Senasp), linked to the Ministry of Justice. She currently heads the Sergipe State Secretariat for Women.

Emília Corrêa is a lawyer, retired public defender, radio and TV communicator and councilor for Aracaju in her 2nd term. At the beginning of April, she left the PRD party and joined the PL, where she intends to run for Mayor of Aracaju.

Fabiano Oliveira is a businessman and communicator, he was a state deputy and worked in the area of ​​tourism in the Government of Sergipe. He is currently a councilor in Aracaju.

José Paulo Leão Veloso Silva (New)

José Paulo has been a prosecutor for the state of Sergipe since 1998, a lawyer specializing in the tax area. He was previously a delegate of the Federal Police, having served in the superintendence of Amazonas, where he headed the Police Station to Combat Environmental Crimes and Against Historical Heritage. He was announced by Novo as being the pre-candidate for Mayor of Aracaju.

Katarina Feitoza has a degree in Law from Universidade Tiradentes, is a Civil Police delegate in Sergipe and took over as General Delegate in 2010. In 2020, she was elected vice-mayor and, in 2022, as federal deputy.

Luiz Roberto is a lawyer, graduated from the Federal University of Sergipe, was a public servant at the Ministry of Finance and retired from Petrobras. In the municipal administration of Aracaju, he was president of the Municipal Training for Work Foundation (Fundat) and president of the Municipal Urban Services Company (Emsurb). He is currently Secretary of State for Urban Development and Infrastructure (Sedurbi).

Niully Campos is a lawyer and teacher, but has never held public office. In 2016, she ran for councilor in Aracaju; in 2018, she ran for state deputy and, in 2022, she ran for state government.

Yandra Moura is a lawyer, graduated in law from Tiradentes University. She ran for the first time in an election in 2022 and was elected as a federal deputy.
