The person responsible for the work at Energisa in Mato Grosso, Cesar Seixas Salomo, explains that the work is focused on removing cables that put the population at risk as loose wires interfere with traffic and can cause accidents.
“We monitor, identify what is irregular and send notifications, explaining point by point to the operators what needs to be organized. What remains irregular and has no identification, we can remove”, explains the electrical engineer.
Loose cables: who is responsible?
Energisa explains that telecommunications companies enter into contracts to share the use of the company’s poles, but they also need to follow the rules established by the National Electric Energy Agency and the National Telecommunications Agency.
“Energisa provides the space on the pole, but the installation, maintenance and removal of obsolete cables are the responsibility of the telephone and internet companies”, reinforces Csar.
