TCE-AM carries out blood donation campaign and exceeds expectations

The blood donation campaign from the Court of Auditors of the State of Amazonas (TCE-AM) to the Hematology and Hemotherapy Foundation of Amazonas (Hemoam) was a success.

Held this Tuesday, 23rd, from 8am to 6pm, in the Escola de Contas Públicas (ECP) square, the initiative exceeded expectations.

Under the leadership of president-advisor Yara Amazônia Lins, who prioritizes social actions during her administration, the Court of Auditors set a new record in the number of blood donations. With a total of 96 registrations for donations, 79 donations made and the ability to benefit 316 people with blood components derived from the collected bags, the campaign achieved a historic feat for the cutting of accounts.

“It is gratifying to see the commitment of our employees to this cause, which resulted in the achievement of a significant number of blood bags in just one day of the campaign. This is also a reflection of many years of partnership between the court and Hemoam, and as civil servants we recognize the importance of this gesture and the impact on the lives of those who need it most”, declared the president-advisor.

The event was attended by Vampirão, the Hemoam bus specially equipped for blood collection.

Nívia França, donor recruitment manager at the Hemoam Foundation, expressed her gratitude for the joint effort: “We are always looking for a safe stock to meet the demand for blood transfusions throughout Amazonas. The partnership with the Court of Auditors helps us achieve this objective. This Tuesday’s campaign was excellent.”

Etelvina Andrade, Head of the Social Assistance Division at Corte de Contas, revealed the team’s enthusiasm with the results achieved and is already planning future campaigns: “We put a lot of effort into the campaign, we mobilized a lot and achieved excellent results. Now we are even thinking about the next one, which should be in September and we have already asked for it to take place over two days so that even more people can participate.”
