Dengue in Rio Grande do Sul: eight cities obtain federal recognition of emergency situation

The Ministry of Integration and Regional Development, through the National Civil Defense, recognized, this Wednesday (24), the emergency situation in eight cities in Rio Grande do Sul that registered an increase in the number of dengue cases. They are: Cachoeira do Sul, Crissiumal, Derrubadas, Nova Palma, Pinheirinho do Vale, Santo Augusto, São Leopoldo and Tuparendi. With the measure, city halls can now request resources from the Federal Government to carry out humanitarian assistance actions. To date, Rio Grande do Sul has 280 emergency recognitions in force.

How to request resources

Cities with federal recognition of an emergency situation or state of public calamity can request MIDR for resources for civil defense actions. Requests by municipalities in emergency situations must be made through the Integrated Disaster Information System (S2iD). Based on the information sent in the work plans, the National Civil Defense technical team evaluates the goals and values ​​requested. With approval, an ordinance is published in the DOU with the amount to be released.
