Government delivers armored vehicles to state security forces

This Tuesday (23), the State Government delivered four new police vehicles, fully armored, intended for security actions carried out by the State’s Civil and Military Police, with the aim of acting with greater agility and security in police actions. high risk and complexity. The delivery was made by the state governor, Helder Barbalho, during the ceremony celebrating Tiradentes Day, patron saint of the Brazilian Military Police.

The new vehicles are the first of the “Falcon 360” model, with level III armor (resistant to rifle shots), developed for the need to act as a “Tactical Intervention Unit (ICU)”, with specific characteristics for confrontation and prompt response, with greater agility and security for public agents in overt actions and persecution of criminal groups. Of the first four vehicles acquired, two will be destined for the civil police (CORE) and the other two for the military police (BOPE).

The acquisition of the new vehicles was made possible through the State Public Security Fund, with resources sent by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) totaling more than R$5 million.

The Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense of the State, Ualame Machado, highlights the government’s investment in the valorization and safety of its agents, combined with greater quality and power in police actions.

“Today we are delivering an investment of more than 5 million, with the first four vehicles being fully armored, remembering that it is not common armor for any vehicle that we check, it is reinforced armor for types of weapons calibers that are much higher than normal armor, including full floor and ceiling armor, as well as equipment that allows the police to act in any situation, especially, for example, taking over a city, which we know as the practice of the “new cangaço”, which fortunately is no longer a reality. common in Pará, but we are prepared if it happens. Any incident that requires police intervention, even under attack, we will be able to offer total security to our police officers. This is yet another increase in public safety, which benefits not only from the acquisition of new equipment, but mainly, valuing our troops, providing security to police officers, delivering four vehicles, so that we can offer free action to our police officers in any terrain , under any circumstances”, pointed out the Segup owner.

Functionality – The vehicles are an evolution of other models of light tactical vehicles already used by the state’s police forces, such as the “Caveirões” which are the type of vehicles for transporting valuables, used today by more specialized teams, such as the Battalion of Special Police Officers of the Military Police (BOPE) and the Coordination of Special Operations and Resources of the Civil Police (Core).

The new vehicles are fully equipped, quickly and safely, with so-called 360º armor, in order to protect their occupants from shots coming from all directions. With a high-power engine, suspension system specially designed for greater approach and departure angles, better weight distribution, making the vehicle more stable, in addition to a greater field of vision and on-board electronic systems that guarantee better operational activity.

Shielding – The vehicles have Level III standard armor, in accordance with existing market standards and meeting requirements for resistance to rifle fire. Furthermore, the vehicles have push bumpers; riot protection; floor against grenades and improvised explosive devices, full protection of the engine, radiator and other important parts of the vehicle. It also has preparation for the use of various on-board communication technologies, electronic countermeasures, dynamic target tracking and drone technology; cameras that cover 360º; 12,000 lbs winch and several other features adaptable to the operational actions intended.
