Two anacondas were found dead floating in rivers in Mato Grosso do Sul. One of them had a rope attached to its body. The cases were caught by fishermen on Saturday (20) and Sunday (21).
In Rio Brilhante, an anaconda approximately three meters long was found dead last Saturday (20). The animal had a rope wrapped around its body.
Fisherman Adriano Moreno told the The Pantanal that the snake does not appear to be new. “She should be an adult and male. I saw it from afar, got closer and was surprised by the rope.”
The fisherman said they either killed her or she got tangled up in a fishing net. “It was not the first time that a dead anaconda and other friends filmed two more dead over the weekend.”
On Sunday, another snake measuring more than 5 meters long was found in the Dourados River, Sunday (21). Fisherman and fishing guide Rony Dronov claims that he saw the anaconda from afar and was impressed by its size. “She must have died of natural causes, it looked like there was something in her belly.
