The Court of Justice of Mato Grosso do Sul is open for registration for the Brazilian Sports Justice Symposium – Perspectives and Practices that will take place on May 2nd and 3rd. The sporting event is open to the general public, athletes, team managers, clubs and teams, businesspeople, journalists, students, magistrates and lawyers.

The symposium is carried out by the Judiciary of MS in partnership with the Superior Court of Sports Justice for Football (STJD), State Government, through the State Secretariat for Tourism, Sports and Culture (SETESC) and the Sports and Culture Foundation Leisure in Mato Grosso do Sul (Fundesporte).

The president of the Court of Justice, Des. Sérgio Fernandes Martins, states that holding the symposium aims to encourage state sport, in its various modalities, as well as the preponderant role of sports justice, clarifying its functioning and promoting the exchange of experience between the courts, in addition to encouraging discussions that contribute for the development of initiatives for the population of Mato Grosso do Sul, taking into account the importance of sports for social well-being.

According to the schedule, at 8 am on May 2nd there will be a traveling trial session of the Full Court of the Superior Court of Sports Justice for Football – STJD. The session will be held in the TJMS Plenum, located at the Court’s headquarters, on Av. Mato Grosso, Block 13, in Parque dos Poderes.

Among the topics presented, on May 3 there will be the panel “Exploring the Challenges and Opportunities for Sports Development” at the Aracy Balabanian Theater, Centro Cultural José Octávio Guizzo, located at Rua 26 de Agosto, 453, in the center of Campo Grande.

Also on May 3, a round table will be held with the participation of the president of the Court, advisors from the STJD, Olympic para-athletes Fernando Rufino (canoeing) and Yeltsin Jacques (athletics), as well as members of local sports.
