New SAMU ambulances boost emergency care in Rio Grande do Sul

Promising news arrives in Rio Grande do Sul with the arrival of 21 new SAMU 192 ambulancesbenefiting approximately 19 municipalities of State. This initiative is part of the Growth Acceleration Program (New PAC), focusing on the area of Health. At the national level, investments in the first phase of the New PAC Saúde, directed to SAMU 192 and the Emergency Regulation Centers, promise to benefit around 12.2 million people.

Only in the SAMU 192 category, the New PAC Saúde provides for the donation of 350 new ambulances for 14 Brazilian states, covering all regions of the country. This contribution represents a significant advance in the provision of 5.8 million people, enabling coverage of emergency situations and immediate medical demands. The total investment in this aspect reaches the mark of R$119 millionwith unit values ​​of R$324 thousand for Basic Support Units (USB) It is R$ 470 thousand for Advanced Support Units (USA).

In addition to ambulances, the program includes the construction of 14 new Emergency Regulation Centersdistributed across 8 states, with a total investment of R$ 112.8 million. These centers, responsible for coordinating and regulating SAMU mobile units in their regions, are equipped to guarantee efficient and agile service. The proposal selection criteria favored regions with lower SAMU 192 coverage and high response times.
