From April 2024, Sindipetro Bahia will represent the workers of Dax Oil, the first and only refinery in Bahia that was born private and is located in the Camaçari Petrochemical Complex.

Union representation was based on an agreement made between Sindiquímica (former representative of these workers) and Sindipetro Bahia, a union that has represented workers in the refining industry since the 1950s.

The agreement to change union representation was signed by the coordinator of Sindipetro Bahia, Elizabete Sacramento and the directors of Sindiquímica, José Nilton Souza, Osmário Araújo, Maurício Klajman and director Lucíola Damião.

Dax Oil joins the dozens of companies in the private oil sector whose workforce is represented by Sindipetro Bahia.

From now on, Sindipetro will continue what Sindiquímica has built over the last few years, seeking to negotiate collective agreements with expanded rights and that meet the expectations of the company’s workers.
