Continuing with its expansion plans throughout Rio Grande do Sul announced at the beginning of last month, the
Catwalk Group originally from Santa Catarina, has just confirmed the opening of two stores – a wholesale and a supermarket – which areomit an investment of more than R$50 million.

O supermarket will be built in Santa Cruz do Sul, and the Works are scheduled to begin in the second half of the year scheduled to open next year. The sales area will include 2,300 m² and 120 jobs will be created.

Already the wholesale will be located in Santa Maria, and with an investment of R$35 million will have a sales area 4,500 m². The establishment is also scheduled to open in 2025 and will create 200 jobs.

In March, the company opened its first unit in the state of Rio Grande do Sul under the banner Via Atacadista which took an investment of R$70 million. Additionally, the network released its plans to open nine more units by 2025focusing on the cash & carry model, which will represent seven of the new stores.

According to Alexandre Simioni, president of the chain, this year alone more than five ventures will be opened in the states where the company operates – one of which should open this Thursday (4) in Teutônia, in a space previously occupied by Languiru.

The others do not yet have an opening date, but some of the locations have already been defined as Canoas, where a store will be installed by July, Caxias do Sul, which will receive its second unit by September and Novo Hamburgo, which should be the last opening of the year and is still subject to city hall approval for the start of works.

According to Simioni, Rio Grande do Sul is experiencing an expansion of the cash and carry model and there is still room, while in Santa Catarina, the format is more consolidated. This is one of the main incentives for the company to invest in opening stores across the state.
