The Municipal Health Department (SMS) of Rio de Janeiro is open for registration for the selection process for the training course for the Network of Adolescents and Young Health Promoters (RAP da Saúde). There are 191 vacancies available, defined as having prior experience or not, for residents of the city of Rio de Janeiro aged 14 to 24. Registration is open until April 7th, next Sunday.

The selection process is divided into two stages: analysis of the application form and individual interview. The selected teenagers and young people receive financial assistance of R$450 as a Multiplier and R$650 as a Promoter. The main objective of the course is to instruct and train young people in the areas of health, technology, employability, education, culture and leisure, social assistance and human rights.

Taught by SMS professionals and working in Primary Health Care (PHC) health units, such as family clinics and municipal health centers, participants develop educational actions and debate health-related issues.

Lasting 11 months, the project is divided into the roles of Multiplier, for those who have the ability to disseminate information and do not require prior practice, and Dynamizer, with the required experience in leading participation and youth leadership, with a workload of 12 and 16 hours hours per week, respectively.

The Training Course for Adolescents and Young Health Promoters – RAP da Saúde is a project of the Health Promotion Superintendency (SPS) of the Municipal Health Department (SMS) of Rio de Janeiro that qualifies adolescents and young people living in the city. The selection of participants is based on vulnerability criteria.
