“Madonna with tranquility”: kiosks promise an open bar for a thousand reais

With the forecast of a movement similar to that of New Year’s Eve, the Madonna show on Copacabana Beachwhich takes place on May 4th, led the kiosks to prepare a special scheme, the same one they offer at New Year’s Eve, with prices that can exceed 1,000 reais per person.

The kiosk cabinwhich is close to Posto 2, has capacity for 120 people and has already sold a third of the tickets, 1,100 reais per person. Beyond the seats overlooking the stage, the price includes snacks, drinks (open bar) and security.

The kiosk Sand MPBalso close to Posto 2, holds 400 people and already has 280 seats occupied on the night of the event, with tickets available 800 reais. A second batch was made available, and the place offers food, drinks (open bar), security and DJs.

The hotels on the Copacabana waterfront are more than 75% of rooms occupied for the weekend of the show. The expectation is to reach 100% occupancy until the day of presentation. The movement is much greater than what usually occurs during this period, which is low season.

At the Copacabana Palace, which is in front of the place where the stage will be set up, there are no more rooms available for the day of the show. In the same period last year, daily rates at the luxury hotel were between 2,200 and 25,000 reais.

Only the arrival of international tourists must grow 27.3% in the week of the show, compared to the same period in 2023, according to Embratur. They are almost 7,500 airline tickets issued from other countries arriving in Brazil via Rio, according to the Forward Keys platform.

Galeão airport registered 169 extra flights between the 1st and 6th of May, with the expectation that there will be an additional movement of around 15,000 passengers, between boarding and disembarking.
