The governor Cláudio Castro (PL) handed over to Creci-RJ the certification Women Friendly Company, in the silver category. The award of the title took place this Wednesday (27), during a ceremony at the Laranjeiras Palace, South Zone of River. With the creation of the Deputy Directorate for Women (DAM-RJ)in March 2022, Creci-RJ, chaired by Marcelo Moura, developed a series of actions aimed at the entity’s employees and female real estate agents, with a special focus on professional equity and combating harassment. State approval is given to institutions that develop projects in favor of women.
“We wish to be a facilitator in guaranteeing equality and rights opportunities between men and women, in order to ensure the full exercise of citizenship and rights within the real estate market”, stated the Director of DAM-RJ, Christiana Honório.
In almost two years of operation, DAM-RJ, which is subordinate to the presidency of Creci-RJ, has already provided psychological advice to brokers, to help them deal with pressures inside and outside the real estate market. The entity also provided legal advice to women, who had access to clarifications related to laws and regulations, resolution of labor disputes and strategies to deal with the challenges of the real estate brokerage market. The signature of the Technical Cooperation Agreement (TAC) with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB-RJ) and the creation of a booklet with useful information for the professional class, were also important actions by DAM-RJ.
“I am very satisfied with the work that I have been observing in our board focused on women and I want to see Creci-RJ as an ally and in partnership with other institutions, with the aim of acting with purposeful actions, further expanding efforts on behalf of women” , commented the director of DAM-RJ, adding that the entity intends to expand its area of activity to other cities, to become a reference in the defense and expansion of women’s rights in the Rio de Janeiro market.
“We are instructing our regional representations, through counselors and delegates, to reverberate and expand this network of reception and protection in their cities as well. DAM intends to become a reference, reverberating a current of good beyond Creci-RJ, as we truly believe in this work and know how much of a difference it makes in women’s lives”, concluded Christiana Honório.
