With support from Nuvid/Ciops/SSPDS, PMCE arrests suspect of sexual harassment in Meireles, in Fortaleza

The Military Police of Ceará (PMCE) arrested, this Wednesday (27), a 34-year-old man suspected of the crime of sexual harassment against a 17-year-old teenager. The capture took place in the Meireles neighborhood – Integrated Security Area 1 (AIS 1), in Fortaleza. The action was supported by the Videomonitoring Center (Nuvid), the Integrated Security Operations Coordination (Ciops), the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (SSPDS).

Ciops/SSPDS Nuvid operators saw an atypical situation in a section of the region. As a result, a member of the Tourist Police Battalion (BPTur/PMCE) was called to the indicated address, where they found that the suspect had harassed a teenager. At the time, the man touched the victim’s private parts.

The man was captured and taken to the Women’s Defense Police Station (DDM) in Fortaleza, a specialized unit of the Civil Police of the State of Ceará (PCCE), where he was charged with sexual harassment. He was placed at the disposal of Justice.
