Originating in Bahia, Grupo GPS returns to purchasing and announces the acquisition of GRSA

Woriginally in Bahia, the GPS Group announced this Thursday (28/3) the acquisition of GRSA, one of the leaders in catering (meal supply, service and cleaning service for events) and corporate restaurants in the country. The value of the deal was not revealed.

The GRSA Group, which belonged to the British multinational Compass Group, offers food solutions and support services, with a presence throughout Brazil and a strong presence in the Southeast region. It recorded gross revenue of approximately R$3.3 billion in the 12-month period ended September 30, 2023, serving approximately 450 customers.

“The purchase and sale contract relating to the acquisition was signed this Wednesday and the conclusion of the deal is subject to compliance with the usual obligations and conditions precedent in this type of operation, including its submission for approval by the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade) as applicable”, said the GPS Group, in a relevant fact.

The GPS Group ended last year with net revenue of R$10.631 billion, 15% above 2022. The result is a reflection of the combined strategy of organic and inorganic growth and the agile management model with solid business management principles. Adjusted net profit reached R$730 million, 25% above the previous year.

IPO

Since the IPO, three years ago, the company had already made 22 acquisitions, which brought R$4.8 billion in revenue. In 2023, GPS announced acquisitions worth R$1.1 billion in gross revenue recorded in the 12 months prior to the signing of the purchase and sale contracts, represented by the companies Engie Serviços e Facilities, Compart, TLSV, Campseg and Trademark. The acquisitions of Lyon, Control, Marfood and Invictus, announced at the end of 2023, will become part of the 2024 M&A program and will be consolidated in the 1Q24 results.

The group was founded in 1962, in Salvador, under the name Predial Limpeza e Higienização. Today, it is a national leader in the outsourced services sector – facilities, security, indoor logistics, utilities engineering, industrial services, food and infrastructure services. It operates in all regions of Brazil, with a comprehensive portfolio of solutions, totaling 4,345 customers and employs more than 147 thousand employees.
