After a rainy weekend in Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo, the rains in the Southeast decreased this week, but are still intense throughout Brazil, according to the National Institute of Meteorology. Parts of the North, Central-West and Northeast regions are under a “Danger” warning due to the heavy rain forecast.

In Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and southern Espírito Santo, there is a “Potential Danger” alert (yellow), with the possibility of rainfall of up to 50mm/day and intense winds of 40-60 km/h. Inmet advises avoiding taking shelter under trees due to the risk of falling branches and electrical discharges.

The forecast for Rio de Janeiro this Wednesday (27) is for many clouds, light winds and isolated rain, mainly in the afternoon, with temperatures varying between 22ºC and 27ºC. Belo Horizonte will have a similar scenario, with the possibility of sun in the morning.

São Paulo will also have many clouds and lower temperatures, with a minimum of 18ºC and a maximum of 23ºC. On Thursday (28), there may be rain showers accompanied by thunderstorms. In Vitória (ES), isolated rain is forecast in the afternoon and evening of Wednesday, with heavy rain returning on Thursday, and temperatures between 24°C and 34°C.

On the other hand, parts of the North, Central-West and Northeast regions will face intense rain, with orange alerts from Inmet indicating “Danger”, with precipitation between 50 and 100 mm/day and winds of up to 100 km/h, which could cause power cuts. energy, falling branches, flooding and electrical discharges.

In the South region, the sky will be partially or completely cloudy, with no rain forecast. Temperatures will be mild, with minimums in Curitiba (PR) of 16°C and maximums of 25°C, in Florianópolis (SC) between 20°C and 26°C, and in Porto Alegre (RS) between 17°C and 29°C. °C.
