A refrigerator and a residence located in Icoaraci, district of Belém, were the targets of an operation to combat the diversion of electricity this Tuesday (26). According to investigations, the refrigerator had been experiencing power loss for more than two years. The action was carried out due to meter fraud. Around 67% of the energy consumed was not recorded.
The operation was carried out by the Civil Police (PC), with the presence of the Renato Chaves Scientific Expertise Center (CPC) and Equatorial Pará, on the morning of this Tuesday (26). The person responsible for the establishment was taken to the police station to give a statement.
According to the energy distributor, at the time of the operation the diverted load was approximately 15,000 kW/h per month, enough to supply 101 homes with an average consumption of 150 KW/h per month for thirty days.
