Last week, the Bahia destination was announced by the State Tourism Secretariat (Setur-BA) in six tourist hubs, in Brazil and abroad. The organization participated in renowned events, to showcase the diversity of experiences offered in the 13 tourist areas in Bahia.

In South America, the secretariat was at the “Partiu Brasil” roadshow, carried out by the operator Infinitas Travel, which trained more than 400 travel agents, in Santiago (Chile), Buenos Aires and Córdoba (Argentina). The professionals were updated on advances in tourism in Bahia, such as the acquisition of new international flights and qualification of services for visitors.

In Brazil, Setur-BA debuted at the 16th Pesca & Companhia Travel Show, the largest fair in the segment in Latin America, in São Paulo, where it promoted Bahia’s potential for sport fishing tourism, mainly in the municipality of Canavieiras, on the coast. of Cocoa. The fair brought together 25 thousand people and generated 400 million in business.

Still in Brazilian territory, the department participated, in Porto Alegre, in the 38th Ugart Tourist Business Fair, which welcomed 170 exhibitors and three thousand travel agents. In Maceió, it was time to participate in the Masterop Travel Workshop, bringing together more than 600 professionals in the sector, from 11 states.

This week, Setur-BA, in partnership with Azul Viagens and the company B2Live, will be at the roadshow “O São João do Nordeste é Azul”, to promote the June festivities in Bahia, the biggest in the region. The traveling event will pass through the cities of Campinas (SP), Goiânia (GO), Belo Horizonte and Uberlândia (MG).

“With the continued growth rates in Bahian tourism, we have expanded our promotional actions, mainly abroad. In the first months of this year, we have already participated in events in nine countries; in Brazil, we have closed our presence in seven tourist destinations. The work will continue throughout the year, with participation in the main national and international fairs and roadshows”, said the head of Setur-BA, Maurício Bacelar.
