Chocolate bar measuring 90 m and 9 thousand pieces is manufactured in SC
A giant chocolate bar, measuring 90 meters, was manufactured in celebration of Timbó’s birthday, in Vale do Itajaí, in Santa Catarina.
The event took place on Sunday (24), before Easter. For the production, which involved 40 people, three pieces of machinery and half a ton of chocolate were used. The candy yielded 9,000 pieces, distributed to the city’s residents.
According to the city hall, which carried out research on records related to the sweet, the production put the city at the top, boasting the title of producer of the largest chocolate bar in Brazil.
The event, which was attended by approximately 4 thousand people, was part of the program celebrating 90 years of political emancipation in the municipality, marked on March 25th.
Ten employees from the company Ferana Chocolates started preparations at around 5am. At 10 am, approximately 30 people began distributing pieces of the bar to residents who contributed food donations intended for needy families in the city.
In total, they were distributed 9 thousand pieces of chocolate.
This year, Easter in the city will have the theme “The Fantastic Easter in the Park”, inspired by the film “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory“. The program will include train rides, craft fairs and an egg hunt around the city.
