Cubos was born as a software house and a venture builder. At the time we didn’t know these names existed, but we already knew what we wanted to do: build solutions for other companies, through software development services. We wanted to simultaneously build our own startups – in which we would be the technology area – and accelerate the growth of these companies that we would get off the ground. We believed in this thesis, because we were and are passionate about deeply understanding a problem and trying to solve it. We didn’t know exactly, but we were creating the Cubes way of developing solutions. This way consists of: living the operation, focusing on user journeys and going beyond delivering code, delivering intelligence and solutions to the market. Always starting from our essence, which is to dive into new worlds, study, learn and share.
It was in an environment of cooperation and a lot of study that we had the opportunity to win over clients in Brazil and abroad. Developing everything from loyalty and scoring app MVPs, to digital banks and nuclear plant dismantling logistics software for Sweden. At the same time we had the chance to create business opportunities, founding companies such as Zig (leader in the chashless events market), Zak, AmigoEdu, Eatiz, Aarin, Cubos Academy and Cubos DevOps. Each of them at their own time and opportunity, creating space for new CTO’s, entrepreneurs and professionals in the areas of technology, marketing, sales and many others. Cubos has excellent success stories, such as Cubos Academy, training thousands of new programmers and contributing to transforming Brazil through education; Zig, a market leader and innovative company that operates in more than 7 countries in Latin America and Europe.
However, being an entrepreneur is not easy at all, on the contrary, it is often infinitely more challenging, many barriers are encountered and many mistakes are made. We often say at Cubos that “making mistakes is not the problem, but not learning is a huge problem”. We believe that to overcome these challenges, we need consistency in our learning and connecting with the right people, as they actually create opportunities. To do this, you need to know how to filter useful information when experimenting, analyzing markets and receiving mentoring. Therefore, always be aware of what constitutes powerful feedback or just distractions, traps that need to be overcome. I believe that experience and practice develop Bahian entrepreneurs so that they increasingly find ways to bring their ideas to life.
